Casa Serena is located on the corner of Penticton Street & Grandview Hwy (between Nanaimo and Renfrew), across the adjacent parking lot of the Italian Cultural Centre and next door to Villa Carital Intermediate Care.

Private Parking Lot area reserved for tenants with permits. Tenants can apply for a permit and are subject to priority use and availability. Parking is NOT included with the rent or guaranteed for availability.

Casa Serena is an Independent Living Facility. We do not provide assisted living services to our tenants and therefore not suitable for tenants requiring an additional level of care. There are no meal, medication or supervisory programs. Tenants must demonstrate to be able to live independently to maintain residency.

A full-time Housing Manager is available on-site Monday to Friday to manage the day-to-day administrative services and assist tenants with the rent subsidy applications and reviews. Staff may also work remotely from time to time.

A full-time Facilities Worker is on-site Monday to Friday to take care of general maintenance, cleaning and repairs. After hours and weekend on-call support for emergency maintenance and repairs is available.

All rooms and common areas are subject to changes, availability, and restrictions.

Laundry Rooms: 2 laundry rooms located on the 1^st floor (Ground Floor) available for tenants only. Coin operated.
Common Areas an open sitting area is located on each level

These additional rooms and spaces are currently provided on a courtesy basis and not to be considered as part of the tenancy agreement that are packaged and included with the rent:

Social Lounge with kitchen facilities is located on the 1^st floor for group activities and events. May also be booked by tenants for private functions for a fee and subject to availability and restrictions.
Workshop located on the 1^st floor. Can be booked and is subject to availability. Some activities may require supervision by staff or other authorized individuals.
Exercise Room located on the 2^nd floor. The exercise room is unsupervised and may be subject to restricted hours of use or other restrictions. Liability waivers are required to be signed for permitted access.
Activity Room located on the 2^nd floor is a mixed-use space and changes from time to time.
Gated Garden Courtyard with a covered gazebo and a walkway-path accessible for those with walkers and wheelchairs. Outdoor patio furniture for the summer. Excellent walking path for exercise to maintain mobility.
Community Vegetable Garden. subject to availability. Wait lists available for garden plots.

Renfrew Community Centre (at Renfrew & 22nd)
